Randi Goodman, Founder
Hello! I'm Randi Goodman (she/hers/her), founder of Not Your Mama’s Drama and an experienced theatrical coach and teaching artist who specializes in fostering creativity and confidence in young people who enjoy the performing arts.
A graduate of the legendary New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, I was an actor in New York and Los Angeles for years, prior to earning my Masters in Education from Loyola Marymount University. As an actor, I studied and performed at iO West, Second City Training Center, UCB Theatre, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Michael Howard Studios, and am a graduate of the Teaching Artist Training Program at The Music Center, Los Angeles. I hold California state teaching credentials in both Multiple Subject K-8 and English: Single Subject K-12. I’ve taught Theatre at Los Angeles area public and private schools for decades.
My extensive training has helped me develop innovative workshops that focus on building communication skills, performance skills, self-esteem, and confidence. My engaging enrichment classes have included subjects such as musical theater, story theater, superhero training, storytelling, movement, lip sync battles, stand-up comedy, improvisation, visual arts, and costume development as well as the stage to screen process.
It has always been my dream to have my own acting studio where young theater students have a safe space to work and feel free to express themselves. I am so excited to offer this exciting opportunity by connecting with all of you with Not Your Mama’s Drama.
