Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect during our virtual coaching session?
Virtual acting coaching definitely has its perks! Having that one-on-one focus through a camera lens can really hone in on the details that matter. During our session, we chat about your goals and then dive into the nitty-gritty of your material. Building that confidence is key, and I am dedicated to ensuring that you feel prepared to shine through rehearsal, script analysis, and character work.
What ages do you work with for your virtual classes?
Although I have experience working with ages 3 and up, virtually, it helps to be a little bit older. Therefore, the youngest student I will work with is age 6. If your child is younger, but you think they will manage well online, please contact me and let me know. Although the oldest I generally work with are college-aged, I am also open to working with adult clients. Contact me to inquire.
I have an audition for the high school play and they want me to bring a monologue but I have no idea what to bring. Can you help me?
Yes, I love guiding students to new material! I have encyclopedic knowledge of theatrical works and will happily assist you in your quest for an amazing, unique, personal audition monologue, song, character, or scene.
Do you have a studio or classroom so we could work in-person for coaching sessions?
My goal is to one day have my own physical studio where students can take workshops, enroll in private coaching, perform, and have a safe space to hang out. Until then, I work only online for coaching and scene study workshops. However, I am open to meeting in a private space so please contact me if this is your preference and you live in the Los Angeles area.
I don’t live in Los Angeles. Can you still coach me?
Yes! Although I am located in Los Angeles, California, I do nearly all of my coaching and scene study workshops virtually. That means I can work with you no matter where you live, as long as you have a quiet space to work, a device, a strong Wi-Fi connection, and Zoom. Tiny Tales, my preschool offering, takes place in person each week at Clover Park in Santa Monica, weather permitting.
I want to see if my preschooler would like Tiny Tales. Can we try out a class or drop in?
Yes! Please contact me and you can try a free workshop during an ongoing session. You are also always free to observe a class. We love an audience!
I stumbled upon your Tiny Tales class last week while on an outing at the park. Can we join midsession? Will you prorate?
Absolutely! As long as there is space in a session, I am happy to accommodate you. Please contact me for prorated rates.
How much does a private session cost to work with you? How long is it? How do I pay? Where do I get the Zoom link?
Each 1:1 session is 50 minutes long and costs $55. You can also purchase a bundle of three sessions for $145, which is great when you know you want to focus on new material with rehearsal and refinement. Payment is via Venmo. I will send you a calendar invite with information on how to pay prior to our meeting. Once payment is received, your booking will be confirmed and you will receive a link to the virtual space.
This sounds amazing! I’m ready to get started! How do I book my first coaching session? What type of payment do you accept?
I am so excited to be working with you! To book your first coaching session, Click Here, and tell me about yourself. I will inform you about my availability and send you a link to book. There, you will be able to confirm your session and pay for your appointment. For your convenience, I accept Venmo. All sessions must be paid for prior to our meeting time.
How can I get updates on your availability?
I usually have sessions between 4pm-9pm PST during the school year. Earlier time slots are offered during the summer and weekends. However, I book up fast, especially during peak audition seasons. The best way to know what I have available weekly is to follow @notyourmamasdrama on Instagram. I post specials and flash openings there, too.
I have to cancel! What do I do?
Obviously, life happens and I understand that sometimes cancellations are inevitable. If you do need to cancel our coaching session, I ask that you please give me at least 24 hours notice so that I have the opportunity to fill your time with another client. And I will be happy to reschedule! Just contact me ASAP.
